Trial: 64 Pregnant women were given 10 foot reflexology sessions from 20 weeks into their pregnancies to term.

Result: All experienced shorter labour times than the textbook figures. The average for those receiving reflexology was: first stage 5 hours; second stage 16 minutes. This compared to textbook figures of: first stage 16-24 hours; second stage 1-2 hours. In addition, 89% of the women experienced a natural delivery.
