REFLEXOLOGY INCORPORATING REIKI, ACUPRESSURE AND LYMPH DRAINAGE...
My name is Suzanne and I welcome you to my website. I am a fully qualified and insured Reflexologist with over 11 years experience. I run an established Reiki/Reflexology business in the Scunthorpe and Doncaster areas and hold sessions in a pleasant room at my home in Belton. For those who are unable to travel to me, I also work as a mobile therapist within the local area so that treatments can be held in the comfort of your own home.
My Reflexology sessions include a unique combination of Lymph Drainage, Acupressure and Reiki. Each treatment is
tailor made to suit your individual needs. I am just as happy to offer
one off relaxation sessions as a complete course of treatment. If the latter is advised, progress is regularly assessed and appropriate adaptations are made as and when necessary. Some clients have received regular treatments since I first set up my practice 11 years ago. I genuinely care about the people I work with and I will always try to give help and support as much as I can.
Reflexology is a gentle therapy where the reflex areas of the feet are massaged using a variety of pressure techniques. This stimulates the bodies own healing mechanisms and is excellent for promoting relaxation, releasing tension, improving sleep patterns and mood as well as increasing well being. As a result, Reflexology can be a beneficial support to those experiencing or recovering from illness. (Please refer to research section for further information.)
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word meaning 'Universal Life Energy' often referred to as Chi, the life force energy within and all around us. It is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation which helps to strengthen a
persons energy system and promotes healing.
ones energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions,
mind and spirit, creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being.
During a session the therapist gently holds their hands on (or slightly above) the energy centres (chakras) of a fully clothed person. This means reiki is ideal as a stand alone treatment or used in combination with reflexology. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD)focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet. The aim is to cause a positive effect on the lymphatic system of the body such as reducing swelling of Lymphoedema, which often develops following treatment for breast cancer. Most people are familiar with Lymph Drainage Massage which is used to treat conditions other than Lymphoedema and RLD may be used in a similar way. The Lymph system interacts with the Cardiovascular, Digestive and Immune systems of the body.
Reflexology Lymph Drainage may be useful with the following symptoms:
* Arthritis - Asthma - Eczema
* Chronic Fatigue - Fibromyalgia - ME
* Sinus Problems
* Migraines - Headaches
* Muscular Tension - Aches and Pains
* Premenstrual Tension Syndrome
Endocrine Sweep helps with bringing balance to the Endocrine or Hormonal system and is often used when clients are experiencing P.M.S. and menopausal symptoms. During a reflexology session, the main emphasis is placed upon working the hormonal reflexes of the foot, which in turn helps to bring the body back into homeostasis or balance.
